Caribou runs another great race
Caribou went very well again to back up his promising debut behind Soldier Lions at Bath, this time around the six furlongs on the all weather surface of Kempton Park. He was undone by a very wide draw, from which jockey Charlie Bishop had to use up a lot of his energy to get out fast and then all the way across the track to make up several lengths and race alongside the leader and race favourite. Without racing in the first group the slow surface would have given Caribou an impossible task. He kept on very well to match the leader all the way up the straight, only going down by under a length in a tight finish of four horses across the track. After two fine efforts Caribou will now return to turf action once again, with a targeted race at Goodwood beckoning next month.
