Sheila's Showcase only tenth on the tapeta
Sheila's Showcase took an early bump in his race at Wolverhampton yesterday and this set him toward the rear of the thirteen strong field. As the surface was also giving quite a bit of kick back he did not relish being right in among a pack of horses and so he raced a little wide. On the slow riding conditions also he was not able to pick up the extra ground and make an impression in the closing stages, so that by the line he was in tenth place and beaten as many lengths. Charlie Bishop felt that he would benefit from a step up in trip to ten furlongs now, so that will be his target in about a fortnight's time, when he will be looking to build on the great promise of a return to form the last day at Bath.
