Three runners in the past week
At Huntingdon last week Givepeaceachance ran in the first division of a novice hurdle over an extended two and a half miles. She pulled quite a bit through the first part of the race as the pace was very pedestrian, but jockey Daryl Jacob steered the shortest way round and had her hurdling quite fluently to move forward after half way. Turning in for home Givepeaceachance was disputing the lead at the last two obstacles, and was just a little outpaced in the run for home to finish less than three lengths back in fifth place. Two of the two year olds took their places in all weather seven furlong events, with Bobby Kennedy racing a little wide at Kempton and fading after five furlongs and Patroon finishing last of a dozen and beaten as many lengths in what looked like a fair maiden featuring several of the top yards.
