Denis was delighted with Ruskin Red last night, finishing fast from a long way back off a very slow paced race. Jockey Mark Crehan got Ruskin Red to break on terms with the field this time, so that he was in touch towards the rear of midfield in the mile and a half Racing TV handicap at Kempton Park yesterday evening. Entering the last quarter mile he was ridden and made good headway, keeping on with a strong run inside the final furlong to claim second place and only a half length behind all the way race leader Liva. He will look for another opportunity soon and hope to get a stronger pace to run at so that he might show his staying credentials and get his first win.
