Lisdarragh goes so close at Windsor
On a beautiful evening and on fast ground at the Thames side track Lisdarragh nearly made the opening race his own under a very good ride from Harry Burns. Denis was very happy indeed with Lisdarragh's run, going clear for home inside the last quarter mile and only unlucky to meet a horse under strong driving and perfect timing from Tom Marquand, with perhaps a stone in hand off his own mark. Losing by just a neck, Lisdarragh had gone eleven lengths clear of the remainder of the field, so he is likely to make a reappearance very soon before his rating becomes adjusted.
