Jockey Tom Marquand felt that the surface at Chelmsford was too quick for Caribou yesterday evening, and so he was not able to race further forward than mid division or to make up ground in the closing stages over a mile. As a result he will probably be aimed at a Kempton Park race in the near future, and a contest over a longer trip might even suit him now.
