Yesterday afternoon at Lingfield Waterloo Sunset ran a fine race over ten furlongs, getting going just a bit too late but finishing better than anything to be within a length at the line. Coming from a long way back he will now look for an extra furlong or two and should be winning again then. For only her second run, Golden Phase ran a nice race to keep in touch with the field throughout, and although she finished last of five, it was probably a pretty good race, and she will surely come on a lot for the run.
Previously at Kempton on Wednesday evening My Ambition finished a very close fourth, beaten just a length and a half over a mile. He will come on for this run and remain very competitive around this trip. Bobby Kennedy was racing over a mile and a half and ran prominently in a second group of runners chasing the leaders all the way. Pushed along in the final quarter mile he just faded a little to finish eighth and behind just over eight lengths.
