Waterloo Sunset just denied a winning returm
At Wolverhampton yesterday afternoon, Waterloo Sunset looked to get back to winning ways under Oisin Murphy. The jockey factor played strongly as he was well supported into favouritism, but a drop in tempo in the middle of the race was seized upon by Saffie Osborne to inject some pace from the front and steal a couple of lengths on the field. Waterloo Sunset made up ground in the straight and finished strongly, but he could only claim second, beaten by under a length at the post. Tony Killoran's Adaay gelding has clearly retained his racing form, producing another very good run on a different track, and he has the ability to get his head in front again soon.
