Golden Phase and Milvus both placed after very good runs
Denis was delighted with a very good run from Golden Phase at Wolverhampton under Hollie Doyle - her fourth pleasing run on the bounce. She saw out the extra half furlong very well to finish a clear second, having gone the shortest way round the circuit but just conceding first run to the winner who has followed up with another CD win within the week. The Gustav Klimt filly has now shown versatility on a number of tracks and surfaces, and she certainly remains a very competitive type.
Milvus went up to Kempton's six furlongs and ran his best race to date with good speed in the straight. Oisin Murphy was very pleased with him this time and felt that the winning post came just a little bit too soon for him. Deserving of a break now, Milvus should strengthen up further over the winter, coming back as a four year old with lots of promise next year.
