At Chelmsford last week James Kerr's gelding Wonder Starelzaam returned to action after an extended winter break. The surface at the Essex track was riding very slow, and it was clear from an early stage that he was not acting on the polytrack and he was just unable to quicken out of it. Thus, taking a position in the last two throughout, it was not an ideal season starter, but he will seek better fortune when conditions suit and he has been proven around Lingfield or once quicker turf tracks materialise during this year.
