Miss Dubai misses out by minimum margin
The stand out in a roundup of recent runners was the run of Miss Dubai, stepping up to twelve furlongs for the first time at Lingfield. She was really flying at the finish under George Rooke, and literally on the nod she went down by a nose in her bid for a maiden success. That will surely come her way and she will now be aimed at a similar race in the near future. Sweet Sister went to Kempton for her third run, staying on well over seven furlongs to finish sixth beaten just half a dozen lengths. Now she will have her mark and will be stepped up in distance for her next contest. Yesterday evening Milvus ran a nice race under David Egan to finish fourth, beaten just two lengths, but he reported that the gelding didn't really like the downhill section of the track down the side at Lingfield Park, so a run at Kempton will most likely be on the cards for him next time.
