GOLDEN PHASE SHINES IN BRINGING UP HER THIRD COURSE WIN
Owners West Ilsley Platinum were understandably delighted with the performance of their Gustav Klimt filly Golden Phase, marking her third win at Bath racecourse yesterday evening. It was all the more remarkable for her to ease home at the winning post, under pilot Hollie Doyle, having been baulked and then stumbled right away on leaving the stalls. This left her trailing in last place for some way, but Hollie bided her time and rode the filly with consummate confidence. Entering the last quarter mile she rapidly made ground outside the whole field and Golden Phase won very well inside the last furlong to cruise to her third career win at the Lansdown track. There will hopefully be more to come from the filly, who has been most progressive throughout her training so far and really enjoys a fast surface.
