Returning to the scene of his recent triumph over a mile, this time the race was not run quick enough for Hoornblower. The front two who led all the way, with Hoornblower travelling very well in behind them, kicked for home off the last bend and outpaced him with a sprint up the straight. Now that he is settling much better in his races, Chris van Hoorn's Ulysses gelding will most likely switch up to ten furlongs for his next race.
