From her wide draw Sweet Charity found herself well back in the field, and after turning in in seventh place Oisin Murphy felt that he had to use up a lot of her energy to get into contention - coming wide entering the last quarter mile and up the climbing closing stages. This meant that she had little left to give inside the final furlong, and she faded to be beaten about twelve lengths.
